Our work schedules have been tough this last week, so my focus for dinners has been quick and simple dishes that are healthy but are packed with flavor. Maintaining a stock of seasonings definitely makes my task for a quick meal easier.

For this recipe, I used a pre-made blend of spices from Trader Joe’s. Trader Joe’s now carries its version of Dukkah. Dukkah is a blend of nuts, seeds, and spices with roots in Egyptian cuisine. Trader Joe’s blend includes finely chopped almonds, sesame seeds, fennel seeds, anise seeds, coriander, and a dash of kosher salt. The flavor combination is amazing!


  1. Place fillets on a baking sheet.
  2. Evenly distribute fresh lemon juice on each fillet. Then gently shake seasoning to coat fillets.
  3. Place under oven broiler for approximately 10 minutes.
  4. Serve and enjoy.


  • 2 Haddock fillets
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • Dukkah seasoning
